 Coming by plane and/or train

From the airport to Lausanne Main Station: From the Swiss airports, you can easily arrive in Lausanne by train. From the Geneva Airport, there are many trains (about 5 trains per hour). The fastest is the "IC" which takes 42 minutes for the journey. From Zurich Airport, the journey takes 2h32 in the best case (about 2 trains per hour).

From Lausanne Main Station to LASEC:
(1) go to the metro station located just in front of the train station called M2 (the new metro line in Lausanne).
(2) Take the metro uphill, in the direction called "Croisettes" and get off in the first stop called "Lausanne-Flon".
(3) There, transfer to what is called the TSOL (departures every 10 minutes) or (M1), with the same ticket. Get off at the EPFL station (the journey from the train station to the EPFL station is approx. 30 minutes long).
(4) From the EPFL station, count 10 minutes to reach the School of Computer and Communication Sciences (Faculté Informatique et Communication), where is located the LASEC.

An interactive map of the EPFL could help you to prepare your travel. Train timetables can be found on the CFF website.

 Coming by car

From Geneva, approx. 10 kms before Lausanne, you will have the choice between two directions. Take "Lausanne Sud" and then follow the "UNIL - EPFL" exit. You are now on the "Route du Lac"; continue straight-ahead. A few hundred meters later, you will see a street on your right indicating "UNIL Sorge, UNIL-EPFL Livraisons". Don't take this street! Instead, take the next one which is located just before a traffic light. You should see a strange statue within a traffic circle. Turn around the circle (3/4 round). Building INF is on your right when you pass the second speed bump on the road. From Bern, you have to take the direction Geneva until you find a sign indicating "Lausanne Sud". Then proceed as above.
